INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

Business in a Global Economy focuses on social, cultural, political and economic factors, allowing students to see global differences in these areas. This course provides students with information on consumer behavior, market segmentation, marketing processes, foreign distribution, advertising, and selling. Credit: 0.5; A one semester elective course for juniors or seniors.

 

 

BUSINESS LAW

This course is designed to help the student understand the core of business law fundamentals. Each student will understand the law of contracts, sales, bailment, commercial paper, insurance, business organization, property, and wills. In the consumer law section, students study protection legislation, warranties, product liability, truth in lending, advertising, and interest. Regulatory agencies, equal employment opportunities, and pension reform are also studied. Credit: 0.5; A one semester elective course for juniors or seniors.

 

 

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP

This course helps the student to identify and differentiate between the various types of business ownership, examining the advantages and disadvan­tages of each. The student will learn the different functions of management and finance and gain an understanding of the United States marketplace. Other topics covered will include the uses of money and credit, investment opportunities, insurance protection, and techniques in marketing. Credit: 0.5; A one semester elective course for juniors or seniors.
