In 1987 the tournament was launched as a “fun” raising event by a dedicated group of alumni whose goal was to foster a way to enjoy a sunny south Texas day on the green while catching up with old classmates and making new friends.

We are pleased to announce that Saint Joseph Academy will celebrate its 22nd Annual Alumni Golf Tournament on June 6, 2009 at Valley International Country Club. SJA athletes work diligently throughout the year on playing fields and in classrooms to make us all proud; we ask that you match their commitment. You can support the Hounds by joining us for this year’s tournament. Player options are as follows:
A $100 donation allows entry for two (2) to Friday’s pre-tournament dinner, one (1) player at
Saturday’s tournament, and entry for on (1) to Saturday’s awards luncheon.
In addition to the benefits previously listed, a $250 donation will publicize your organization throughout our tournament.
This year, we encourage you to show your support for Saint Joseph Academy by being a sponsor at one of the following levels:
A $2,500 Double Eagle Calcutta Dinner Sponsor, allows entry for four (4) to Friday’s pre-tournament dinner and Saturday’s tournament and awards luncheon. Also, your name and/or business logo will be prominently displayed as a sponsor of the pre-tournament dinner, and displayed throughout the tournament. This year’s Calcutta Dinner will feature Cajun cuisine by Edward Mathers including salad, jambalaya, gumbo, dirty rice, barbecue chicken and dessert.
A $1,000 Eagle Tournament Lunch Sponsorship, allows entry for three (3) to Friday’s pre-tournament dinner and Saturday’s tournament and awards luncheon. Additionally, we will prominently publicize your organization as a sponsor of the tournament luncheon. This year’s luncheon will be hosted by VICC.
A $500 Birdie Sponsorship, allows entry for two (2) to Friday’s pre-tournament dinner and Saturday’s tournament and awards luncheon. Additionally, we will publicize your organization throughout our tournament.
Your added support of Saint Joseph Academy and the Alumni Golf Tournament is greatly appreciated.
A registration form has been enclosed for your convenience. The deadline to register is Friday, May 22, 2009. Any prospective player failing to pay by the registration deadline may be excluded from the Pre-Tournament team assignments and may not be permitted to play in the Tournament. Any and all of the said players who fail to pay by the registration deadline shall be placed on a waiting list and will only be allowed to play if space becomes available. Sorry, there are no exceptions. We need to take these steps to assure our auction and tournament remain as fair as possible.
Through your generous patronage, we will enhance the athletic programs offered at SJA, thus promoting the Bloodhound tradition of striving for excellence.
