We value your child and your commitment to their education and we acknowledge the investments families make when they invest in a private school education. We take our stewardship seriously and encourage families to apply for tuition assistance.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance refers to funds granted to make a Marist education more affordable to families. Funds for financial assistance are generated by fundraising events, the St. Joseph Academy Endowment Fund, the annual fund drive and through the contributions of generous alumni, parents and other donors. All grants are based on a family’s demonstrated financial need and the program’s availability of funds. Each family is required to contribute to the cost of educating their child.

St. Joseph Academy focuses on fairly and equally evaluating all of its families based on each family’s income and tuition obligations and does not discriminate on the basis of gender or ethnic origin.

Merit Awards

St. Joseph Academy is proud to offer merit awards to incoming 7th and 9th grade students after they test at the school. The scholarships are as follows:

Marist Scholar- SJA offers a renewable $2,500 scholarship to students whose composite score average is in the 95th to 99th percentile on the general entrance exam that is offered in November. The scholarship renews based on the student being in good standing and maintaining a cumulative 95% average or better.

Champagnat Award- SJA offers a renewable $1,000 scholarship to students whose composite score average is in the 90th to 94th percentile on the entrance exam that is offered in November. This scholarship is renewable based on the student being in good standing and maintaining a cumulative 90% average.

Saint Joseph Academy also works with a number of outside organizations to help employees of our feeder schools (St. Mary’s, EDS, Kenmont, Incarnate Word, St. Anthony, GRMS, and St. Luke) afford a Catholic education.

Additionally, many generous donors provide tuition assistance to St. Joe families that is awarded through the school’s financial aid application process.

"The sense of community is present as soon as you step foot on campus, and it's contagious the more you take advantage of what the school has to offer. Throughout my time at St. Joe, I saw just how much former students came back and contributed in different ways to ensure that the school continued to serve future students. This strong sense of community makes St. Joe quickly seem like not just a school, but rather a home for all those who study there."
